Treasures of the World – Your smile bringing us together

What is the JVC International Cooperation Calendar?

The Japan International Volunteer Center (JVC) is an international cooperation NGO established in 1980. The original goal was to save displaced people in Indochina. We currently have various projects in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Our policy and aim are to address underlying causes of problems and seek ultimate solutions to issues happening all over the world.

For instance, distributing food does not always ease food shortage in the long run. Likewise, giving help to a refugee does not necessarily lead to reducing the number of refugees in total. We intend, not to simply fix and provide what is lacking, but to think together how we could create a self-sustainable community. We would like not only to save people wounded in conflicts but aim to prevent conflicts themselves and create a peaceful society. We strongly believe in the significance of addressing problems at the root.

The JVC International Cooperation Calendar was first produced in 1986, and approximately 500,000 calendars have been sold since then. The proceeds will go to support various JVC projects around the world. By purchasing calendars and postcards, which will brighten your daily life, you can contribute to building a better world.
